A demo version of Etrian Odyssey Untold: Millennium Girl will be available for download on Sept. 16 from the Nintendo 3DS eShop, Atlus announced today.

Etrian Odyssey Untold's demo will let players sample the game's new story mode and the "first few dungeon levels" from the role-playing game remake. Etrian Odyssey Untold is an update to the first Etrian Odyssey released for Nintendo DS in 2007. The new version adds the aforementioned story mode, revamped graphics, a new "Grimoire Stone system" and animated cutscenes created by Madhouse, the same team that provided animation for Persona 4 Golden.

Etrian Odyssey Untold: Millennium Girl will be released in North America on Oct. 1 for Nintendo 3DS.

Publisher Atlus also released a new, but brief trailer for the game today. It highlights the character Arthur Charles, the alchemist.
