Craftsman and swordsmith Tony Swatton continues his recreation of iconic weapons with Chrom's Falchion of Fire Emblem: Awakening fame.
A blacksmith for more than 30 years, Swatton has created weapons for more than 200 feature films. To create the Fire Emblem sword, he first pulled a pattern offline for a paper template. Swatton then works on forging, griding and applying heat treatments before moving on to the sword's detailed hilt and pommel.
"[The Falchion has] been on my to-do list for awhile," Swatton said. " ... Chrom's Falchion Fire Emblem sword is actually a pretty elaborate build."
