A new trailer for Rambo: The Video Game shows protagonist John Rambo sneaking, climbing and shooting his way past legions of enemies.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, producer Piotr Latocha explained what the game's development team had been doing to make players feel like they were having an authentic Rambo experience. The game features "authentic studio recordings" of audio from the films, from dialogue and exclamations to music from the film's original soundtrack.
"We also wanted to ensure that Rambo: The Video Game’s gameplay stayed true to the motion-pictures and allowed players to partake in as many of the classic Rambo action set-pieces as possible," wrote Latocha, "everything from shooting-up the Hope Police Station with the M60 HMG in First Blood through to the classic explosive-bow takedown of Lieutenant Tay in Rambo: First Blood Part II and of course ramming the tank into the Russian HIND at the finale of Rambo III."
The trailer shows the series hero in action doing just that, alternatively making use of stealth to get the drop on a foe and rushing in with guns blazing.
Rambo: The Video Game is scheduled to hit Xbox 360, Windows PC and PlayStation 3 in early 2014.
