A bug that caused the Windows PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance to work only with an accompanying internet connection has been sqashed, a representative from Konami told Polygon.
The game was "fixed and patched last night," the rep said. According to tweets Steven Key, the European brand manager for Kojima Productions, new downloads will not need the fix. Files will be replaced for those who downloaded the game before the patch.
Those who purchased the game when it was released earlier this week took to NeoGAF and the Steam forums, reporting that the game would not run without an internet connection.
