Riot adds email verification to League of Legends

League of Legends now features email verification for "any and all" changes to account credentials, developer Riot Games recently announced.

According to Riot, the new system will send an email to the player's verified account whenever a change is made. To activate email verification, those interested must enable it by heading to the League of Legends website and establishing a secure address.

"Baddies won't be able to change a single credential on your account without also having access to your verified email account," the post reads. "This is just a first step — we're looking into many more security features to keep your account details safe like SMS protection and more, so stay tuned."

Those who register an email account will receive a 4-win IP boost, Riot added. The full post is available on League of Legends' website.
