Train Jam 2014 turns game development into a traveling affair

Train Jam 2014, a 52-hour game jam held on a train traveling from Chicago to San Francisco, will take place March 13-15.

According to the jam's site, the event is a way to gather developers heading to the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco and create games along the way. Developers will arrive before GDC kicks off on March 17, which is intended to give attendees "wiggle room to setup their booths."

Coach class tickets for the event are available for $180 per person (previously $165), and those interested must commit by Jan. 20. Return trips are not covered for the event.

Sign-ups and ticketing information are available on the event's website. Train Jam is being organized by Adriel Wallick, an indie game developer based in Boston.
