Evolve, Turtle Rock Studios' upcoming co-op shooter, is now available for pre-order, publisher Take-Two Interactive announced today.
Pre-orders placed with participating retailers come with the Monster Expansion Pack, which features a skin for a Savage Goliath creature as well as access to a new monster character that will be made available post-launch.
"Our philosophy is to build incredibly fun game experiences that we can't find anywhere else," Turtle Rock co-founder and design director Chris Ashton said in a press statement. "Evolve's co-op vs. lone wolf formula has created some of the most intense multiplayer matches we've ever experienced."
"Evolve will be a generation-defining multiplayer experience," added 2K Games president Christoph Hartmann. "As our first new IP for next-gen systems, 2K is working with Turtle Rock Studios to deliver a game that's instantly entertaining and impossible to put down."
Turtle Rock's previous works include Valve's Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and the Left 4 Dead games. The studio was originally developing Evolve to be published by THQ, but the IP went up for sale when THQ collapsed in December 2012. Evolve was purchased for $10.8 million by publisher Take-Two last January during the THQ liquidation auctions. Turtle Rock co-founder Phil Robb expressed at the time that the studio "came out of the proceedings in an awesome position" following the purchase, despite failing to purchase back its own IP with a $250,000 bid.
Evolve was revealed earlier this month and will launch this fall for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
