Interactive radio drama Codename Cygnus price drops as new updates are announced

The first five episodes of Kickstarter-funded interactive radio drama Codename Cygnus are now a fraction of their original price, dropping from $6.99 to $2.99, with individual episodes reduced from $1.99 to $0.99, developer Reactive Studios announced today.

The iOS release will also feature updates to its Game Center achievements, as the studio continues to improve on its speech recognition, VoiceOver accessibility and iOS 7 UI features.

Reactive Studios has also announced its plans to showcase the game during Casual Connect Europe, a European games conference slated to take place from Feb. 11 to Feb. 13. The studio's CEO and creative director Johnathan Myers will be in attendance and head a presentation on acoustic storytelling and interactive radio drama during the show.

Codename Cygnus was first announced by the Boston-based indie team last summer. The game, which is described as a "fictional world inspired by old time serial radio dramas," features more than 25 voice actors including Gone Home's Sarah Elmaleh and Red Dead Redemption's Rob Wiethoff. The game features an episodic release model, with each episode taking roughly 20 minutes to complete.

The latest update is currently available for free on the App Store for all iOS devices. A five minute tutorial Prologue episode is included for free with the download. You can check out our hands-on preview of the game right here.
