Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, the upcoming multiplayer third-person shooter based on the popular Plants vs. Zombies franchise, has been delayed, developer PopCap announced today.
The game has been delayed from its previously-announced release date of Feb. 18 to Feb. 25 in North America. The game has also been delayed in Europe and will launch one week later than intended on Feb. 27.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare was first revealed through leaked photos of the convention center showing promotional materials prior to E3 2013. The game was officially announced during the Electronic Arts E3 press conference as a multiplayer-focused third-person shooter set in the PvZ universe for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Recently, Polygon spoke with producer Brian Lindley, who discussed the challenges of creating the essential selection of shooter character classes while staying true the nature of the PvZ universe.
