Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar readies for spring campaign

Realtime strategy game Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar from Kalypso Media will launch in the spring, priced at $19.99.

Based on Julius Caesar's campaigns in France, Britain, Germany and the Mediterranean, it's the first title from Kalypso's digital label Kasedo Games, formerly known as Kobalt. Developed by Longbow, it's the sequel to Hegemony Gold: Wars of Ancient Greece.

Players can build fortifications, train legions and instigate sieges against barbarian and political enemies. According to Kalypso, Hegemony Rome offers an improved graphics engine, supporting ten times the terrain detail over the previous game.
