Broken Age Easter egg transforms the game into a retro-styled throwback

Double Fine release Broken Age features a newly discovered Easter egg that transforms the game's visuals into an 8-bit retro mode.

A video uploaded by YouTube user The Phawx details exactly how you can access the mode. By lowering the resolution of the game as far as it will go then clicking "key remapping," an icon of lead characters Vella and Shay appear at the corner of the screen.

By assigning a key to the icon will allow users to toggle between the HD visuals and the retro mode. Once assigned a key, you can return the game back to its original HD resolution.

Broken Age received a 9 out of 10 from Polygon in a review that reads: Broken Age isn't finished, but what's there is remarkable.
