MAGFest, an annual convention celebrating video games and music, will again host an indie games showcase during the convention.
MAGFest attendees will be able to get hands-on with 22 titles from chosen indie developers who received free exhibition space to showcase their games at the event. MAGfest 12's showcase includes Code Avarice's first-person action title Paranautical Activity and Discord Games' action role-playng game Chasm. Last year's MAGFest indie showcase included retro-style fighting game BaraBariBall and Mighty Rabbit Studios' episodic iOS title Saturday Morning RPG. The entire list of titles showcasing at MAGFest is available on the event's website.
Across the four days, the event will consist of live music performances, video game and table-top tournaments, films and panels, such as "Intellectual Property Basics for Game Developers" and "Hacking Copyright: A Crash Course in Remixes and Rights." The MAGfest schedule can be viewed on the official website.
MAGFest will be held at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center, Maryland from Jan. 2-5 and will run 24 hours a day. Tickets cost $40 for Friday and Saturday, $20 for Thursday and Sunday and $60 for a four-day pass.
