Featuring combat across land, air and water, the latest gameplay trailer for Rambo: The Video Game demonstrates the various film-inspired set pieces users can experience playing as protagonist John Rambo.
The footage highlights a stealth sequence where Rambo quietly takes down targets using his bow and hitching underneath a Soviet T-62 tank to make an undetected getaway. Demonstrated in the video by obliterating a village using a helicopter's heavy weaponry, the Teyon-developed game also features environmental destruction, further highlighted by demolishing a bridge with explosive-tipped arrows. The gameplay trailer also shows fixed-gun and vehicle combat, hand-to-hand fights with quick time events and boss battles.
According to producer Piotr Latocha, the goal was to ensure that the action title's gameplay stayed true to the films, while allowing players to experience as many Rambo action set pieces as possible. Gameplay sequences will draw from First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo III.
Rambo: The Video Game is slated to hit Xbox 360, Windows PC and PlayStation 3 in early 2014.
