Soulcalibur: Lost Swords coming to Japan on Feb. 6 for PS3

Soulcalibur: Lost Swords is coming to Japan on Feb. 6, following last year's announcement from Namco Bandai of its delay into 2014.

The upcoming PlayStation 3 release will include playable character Ivy as part of its fighter roster, according to the latest trailer released for the game. Soulcalibur: Lost Swords will feature seven playable characters, including three previously announced: Mitsurugi, Seigfried and Sophitia, who returns from Soulcalibur 4.

The free-to-play fighting game was announced for a North American release last year during a pre-Tokyo Game Show press event. The game emphasizes single-player, mission-based modes, and will not include competitive or online multiplayer.

Lost Swords will also include a few new additions, including a new elemental system that will allow players to customize weapons and forge new weapons with five elements, such as wind and fire. Each weapon in Lost Swords will have an element associated with it, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Players will find those elements (and other loot) through drops when defeating enemies.
