Yacht Club Games' Shovel Knight and its Nintendo Entertainment System-inspired graphics are set for a March 31 release.
According to an update on Yacht Club's official site, the developers have reached the alpha stage of development, which means they've completed the "first pass" of the game's content.
"All features are implemented," the update reads. "All levels are playable. All bosses are fightable. All items are gettable! Everything is there. You can play the entire game from front to back. It's all real!"
Next up before release is the beta phase, where Yacht Club will fix the remaining bugs and polish the retro platformer, which you can see in the new trailer above.
Shovel Knight is headed to Linux, Mac, Windows PC, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. You can pre-order a DRM-free Linux, Mac or Windows PC version of Shovel Knight for $15 on Yacht Club Games' official site. For $25, you can get the Deluxe edition, which includes a PDF manual and art book.
