Spelunky mod lets you choose levels to share with friends

A mod for the randomly level-generating indie game Spelunky now lets players choose particular levels to share with friends, Eurogamer reports.

With Seedlunky HD, users can create a custom "seed" that when shared allows for other players to load and play that same level without it generating randomly.

The mod, which was created by user Too Many Notes from the official Mossmouth studio forums, will not work for the game's Daily Challenge mode that already allows players to play the same set of levels just once; However, it does offer a number of fixes to the core game, including one for a glitch that causes a ghost to kill the player during an intro cutscene.

Daily challenges were introduced to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions of the game late last year after originally being introduced on Windows PC. The game received a 10 out of 10 review score from Polygon when it first launched. You can check out that review right here.
