Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn coming to PS4 on April 14

Square Enix-developed massively multiplayer online game Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn is coming to PlayStation 4 on April 14, the publisher and studio announced today.

The next-gen title releases in a Standard Edition and Collector's Edition with pre-orders for each beginning today. Those who pre-order the MMO can expect to receive two in-game items - a mog cap and Cait Sith doll minion - as well as the ability to participate in Early Access of the game starting April 11.

Additionally, the Collector's Edition features an art book, soundtrack CD, art cards, a themed security token and a number of in-game bonus items.

Existing players who have already registered a copy of the A Realm Reborn Collector's Edition will automatically receive new in-game items, including a fat chocobo mount and a wind-up moogle minion.

Those who own a PS4 can participate in the game's beta test for free starting Feb. 22, while users who previously purchased the game on PlayStation 3 consoles can transfer their accounts to the new system for free on April 11. Once transferred, however, players will not be able to access the PS3 version of the game.

Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn will be available for $39.99 in its standard edition. The Collector's Edition of the game will sell for $79.99, while a digital version of the Collector's Edition will be available through PlayStation Network for $59.99.
