Call of Duty: Ghosts title update rolling out with Onslaught DLC

Call of Duty: Ghosts will receive a title update with its first downloadable expansion, the upcoming Onslaught DLC, introducing anti-cheat improvements, PC security additions and more, according to a post on the Call of Duty Community forums.

The title update will introduce IED avoidance capability, changes to dead silence and amplify functionality and spawn system adjustments. Two new game modes called Gun Game and FFA Hunted will roll out with the update, along with Extinction changes and various bug fixes. The full list of patch notes will be released within the next 24 hours.

The update also includes numerous eSports performance enhancements, which infinity Ward outlined earlier this month. These include eSports rules applied to the Clan vs. Clan playlist, multiple broadcaster mode additions and more.

The Onslaught DLC will contain the first of four episodes for Extinction, the four-person team co-op mode. Called Nightfall, the episode takes place at a remote research base in Alaska where players must defeat the aliens that have overwhelmed the occupying scientists.

Initially releasing on Xbox 360 and Xbox One Jan. 28, Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pass holders can transfer the DLC from Xbox 360 to Xbox One. DLC transfer between the two consoles is not possible if purchased separately. However, the Onslaught DLC Pack will carry over from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4 if purchased individually or part of the Season Pass.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is also available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and Windows PC.
