In the latest Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 developer diary, producer Dave Cox and MercurySteam head Enric Alvarez discuss the game's open-world environments, inspirations and adhering to the Castlevania design.
Players will be able to roam Dracula's castle and the gothic modern-day city that grew around it. As players advance in the story, the environment will progressively open up, offering new settings to explore. According to Alvarez, players won't experience any loading times when exploring the world as protagonist Dracula, known in previous Castlevania games as Gabriel Belmont.
Lords of Shadow 2 is set to launch for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on Feb. 25. The prequel, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror Fate, launched on the Nintendo 3DS in March last year.
