Space Hulk landed on Linux today, developer Full Control announced.
The digital adaption of Games Workshop's board game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe now supports asynchronous, cross-platform multiplayer on Linux, Mac and PC. According to a developer update on Steam, the available Linux version is 32-bit, and a 64-bit version is in the works.
Full Control CEO Thomas Hentschel Lund connected the Linux release with Valve's Steam Machine initiative.
"We've always wanted to offer gamers different options on what platform they choose to play Space Hulk," he said. "We actively support Valve's push for Linux as a gaming platform and the future release of steam machines, that will push PC gaming into the living room."
Space Hulk is available on Steam for $29.99. The turn-based strategy game is also available for iPad in the iOS App Store for $9.99. Like its PC cousins, the tablet version supports cross-platform multiplayer.
