Halo: Spartan Assault hits Xbox 360 tomorrow

Halo: Spartan Assault, the top-down third-person shooter spinoff set in the Halo universe, will be available on Xbox 360 tomorrow, Microsoft announced today.

Starting Jan. 31, the game will be available to download through the Xbox Games Store for $14.99. Players who purchased Spartan Assault for Windows 8 or Windows Phone before Dec. 15, 2013 can get the Xbox 360 version at a lowered price of $4.99.

To redeem the game at a discount, players must log into their Xbox 360 console with the same account used to purchase Spartan Assault on Windows, then buy the game through the Home, Games or Games Arcade channel. Purchases made directly through Xbox.com or through the Halo: Spartan Assault Game Details page will not reflect the discount.

Spartan Assault features 30 missions in its single-player campaign and five missions in an online co-op mode. The Operation Hydra expansion is also available and adds more missions to single-player mode. The Xbox 360 version will include collectible medals and new Achievements.

Halo: Spartan Assault launched for Xbox One last month. Check out Polygon's review here.
