Crytek, Insomniac and Sunstone Games to hold GDC 2014 talks

Developers Crytek, Insomniac Games and Sunstone Games will hold sessions covering technical tips, Kickstarter advice and coding information during GDC 2014, Gamasutra reports.

Crytek developer and Ryse: Son of Rome senior rendering engineer Nicolas Schulz will deliver a talk called "Moving to the Next Generation: The Rendering Technology of Ryse." During this talk, Schulz will touch on practical advice for rendering in-game faces and more.

Sunstone Games founder, Simon Strange, is slated to cover Kickstarter funding and how to use the platform to build communities. "Kickstarting Your Company, Your Game and You Community" will draw on the developer's experience with its most recent project, Colossal Kaiju Combat.

During "Code ER: Let's Bring Some Code Back from the Dead," Insomniac engine director Mike Acton will hold a roundtable discussion on game code review.

GDC 2014 takes place in San Francisco, Calif., from March 17-21. Game designers Brenda Romero, Yu Suzuki and more will deliver talks on development and other industry topics.
