Zynga 'testing expanded payment options' with Bitcoin

Zynga is "conducting a Bitcoin test" to further expand its payment options for seven games, the company recently announced via Reddit's Bitcoin subreddit.

Bitcoin is a virtual currency created in 2009. According to the post, the test is a "response to Bitcoin's rise in popularity around the world." Affected titles are available through Zynga's website and include FarmVille 2, CastleVille 2, ChefVille, CoasterVille, Hidden Chronicles, Hidden Shadows and CityVille.

The currency is being tested through Bitpay. For more on Bitcoin, check out our feature about the search for the currency's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.
