Dark Souls 2 comic launches Jan. 8 on Facebook

Namco Bandai Games and From Software will launch the digital comic book Dark Souls 2: Into the Light on Jan. 8 via a Facebook album, it was announced today.

The comic, which takes place in the universe of From Software's forthcoming action role-playing game Dark Souls 2, will be available as a free digital publication. Publisher Namco Bandai Games announced last year that the creative team involved includes writers Rob Williams (Judge Dredd, Star Wars Tales) and Andi Ewington (45), and artist Simon Coleby (Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper).

A limited print version of the comic will be created "for certain editions of the game in certain countries," the publisher said last year.
