World of Warcraft developer Blizzard Entertainment is continuing to implement its Connected Realms program, and the studio provided an update today on the next batches of servers to be grouped.
Through Blizzard's Connected Realms initiative, the studio condenses World of Warcraft servers and links them in order to reduce the number of low-population-density servers available. Blizzard will make its next set of connections for the following realms on Jan. 9 during a maintenance window from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET:
- Bladefist and Kul Tiras
- Nazgrel and Nesingwary/Vek'nilash
- Nazjatar and Blood Furnace/ Mannoroth
- Norgannon and Kargath
- Stormscale and Drak'Tharon/Firetree/Malorne/Rivendare/Spirestone
- Uldaman and Ravencrest
The studio also plans to connect the following realms at an unspecified future date:
- Antonidas and Uldum
- Blade's Edge and Thunderhorn
- Bonechewer and Aegwynn/Daggerspine/Gurubashi/Hakkar
- Destromath and Azgalor
- Jaedenar and Agamaggan
- Shu'halo and Eitrigg
