At CES today, Valve released new details on the third party partners that will release Steam Machines that run the company's new SteamOS operating system. Valve and its partners also released initial hardware specifications and in some cases, pricing.
As promised by Valve head honcho Gabe Newell, the first batch of machines come with a wide variety of CPU, RAM and storage specs, with prices to match that broad range. Third party Steam Machines run as little as $499 and up to $6,000, in the case of PC maker Falcon Northwest. Read on for a list of hardware specs and prices from third party Steam Machines.
(Note that some manufacturers, like Alienware, whose Steam Machine entry is pictured above, did not detail specs in Valve's brochure.)
