League of Legends developer Riot Games is inviting university students across both Canada and the U.S. to compete for a prize pool of $100,000 in scholarships.

Starting this year, Riot will bring together the top four North American collegiate teams to battle live on the LCS stage for the North American Collegiate Champion title.
Registration for the Collegiate Open has already begun and runs until Jan. 22; however, those interested will need to meet a number of requirements including providing proof of attending an accredited university.
The North American Collegiate Open begins Jan. 25, running until Feb. 2. In the following week, 16 teams will square off. The final four teams will later be flown to Riot Games’ Manhattan Beach studio to compete in the championship final during the Feb. 22 and Feb. 23 live LCS broadcast.
