Assassin's Creed: Liberation comparison screens make the case for HD

A trio of screenshots compares the HD remaster of Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation to its original appearance on the PlayStation Vita.

The images show several sets of the game's characters interacting, displaying just how large of a graphical leap the game is making on its journey to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC: Not only is everything crisper, but textures, lighting and even the basic models have been changed to look more attractive on a bigger screen.

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD hits PlayStation Network on Jan. 14 in North America and will launch on European PSN, Xbox Live Arcade and Steam on Jan. 15.
