GoPro Channel coming to Xbox, lets you buy cameras through your console

GoPro, the maker of wearable and mounted action cameras, will launch a dedicated video channel for Xbox 360 and Xbox One in the coming months, the company revealed at CES this week.

In addition to offering a library of curated videos shot on GoPro cameras, the GoPro Channel Xbox apps will offer the option to purchase the company's hardware, from cameras to harnesses to other accessories, directly through Xbox Live. Videos will display which hardware was used to shoot each video, linking viewers directly to items in the GoPro store. The option to buy GoPro cameras makes the channel one of the few, alongside Pizza Hut's, to sell physical goods through Xbox Live.

The channel will offer a variety of GoPro videos in various categories, including snow, surf, motocross, family, adventure and more.

Polygon has reached out to GoPro for release details on both Xbox consoles.
