Winter is Coming has just posted another series of on-set photos from the currently filming fifth season of Game of Thrones, and there are some good ones. Possibly the best is a close up shot of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) just hanging out, making obscene gestures. She's clearly just staying in character.
We also get a good look at set construction for several King's Landing locations, including a marketplace teeming with produce.
As ever, the best parts of these photos are the weird anachronisms. It's fun to see actors in full costume posing with their iPhones (like Headey up above!), folks in t-shirts constructing medieval-looking sets, and carefully-crafted, weathered looking props stacked with care in modern bins.
Game of Thrones season 5 is will premiere in April 2015.
Update: We changed the headline to reflect the fact that Headey's gesture is most definitely not a peace sign in the UK, where the actress hails from.
