Eve: Valkyrie comic hits this June

The comic book miniseries for virtual reality space combat shooter Eve: Valkyrie hits this June, comic publisher Dark Horse announced at New York Comic Con.

The miniseries, which will be written by Brian Wood with art by Eduardo Francisco, will tell the origin story of pilot Ran and the rise of the Valkyrie. The first issue of the comic goes on sale June 3.

The comic is based on the VR game that started out as a tech demo shown off on the Oculus Rift virtual reality head-mounted display. It was later confirmed as a launch game for the Oculus Rift and then announced as a game for the PlayStation 4's Project Morpheus, if and when that kit is ever launched.
