Vine, a popular mobile app used to take looping video clips, is now available to view on Xbox One, according to a post on Xbox Wire.
This version — built "specifically for TV" — will allow users to view Vines on their big screen. Those wishing to create their own Vines will have to stick to the free mobile app.
Vine on Xbox One is available to Xbox Live members and uses the console's Snap feature, allowing users to snap it onto the side of the screen while playing a game or watching TV. Kinect voice and gesture controls can be used to play and pause Vines, as well as search for videos through playlists and dedicated channels like Art, Music and Comedy.
Xbox One seems to be getting a tone of quirky entertainment apps that deviate from the usual selection of Netflix and sports channels. In August, Reddit received its own dedicated Xbox One channel — the ReddX app.
