Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn's upcoming expansion is called Heavensward, it was revealed during the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival this weekend.
Heavensward will introduce a higher level cap, new quests and new adventures, among other things. More details on the expansion will be revealed at additional fan events to be held in London on Oct. 25 and in Tokyo Dec. 20 and 21. Heavensward is expected to launch in spring 2015.
Check out the video above for a first peek at Heavensward. The trailer shows an unnamed man trudging through a snowy landscape, only to arrive at a city burned to ruins by a dragon. The unnamed man in then shown in what appears to be the armor of and carrying a spear designed for a Dragoon, a staple (and beloved) job class of the Final Fantasy series.
