A live-action digital series is being created "in association" with Mortal Kombat X, Warner Bros. announced today.
Blue Ribbon Content, Warner Bros.' new division focusing on live-action and animated series for digital platforms, will produce the series. Few details are available about the project, which will "feature some of the franchise's most iconic characters as well as a new generation of fighters."
The new series will join the likes of live-action projects such as Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Legacy, which debuted in 2011, explores the characters of the original game.
Mortal Kombat X (pictured above) launches April 14, 2015, for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. For more on the game, check out our in-depth preview.
