This is how the Train Simulator series celebrates Halloween

Dovetail Games' Train Simulator 2015 is pushing the boundaries of rail simulation with its latest downloadable content, a Halloween themed add-on called The Count of Monster Disco. The expansion aims to accurately recreate the real-world experience of a Frankenstein's monster driving a skull and bone-laden steam locomotive that may or may not be fueled by jack-o'-lanterns.

The Count of Monster Disco downloadable content adds the Spirit of Halloween train — which you can drive through locations like the Field of Screams to Trainsylvania — eight Halloween-themed activities and a other festive goodies. The add-on costs $9.99, but is on sale for 50 percent off through Oct. 31. In the grand scheme of Train Simulator 2015 DLC, which has more than $4,000 worth of available add-on content, that's a "fun size" amount of cash to drop.

Perhaps the treat of Halloween DLC for Train Simulator 2015 will sweeten the disposition of longtime RailWorks and Train Simulator fans, who don't appear too happy with the latest release, based on Steam user reviews.
