Destiny four-hour outage dropped PS4 players as console update rolled out

Some PlayStation 4 owners were having trouble signing into online-only shooter Destiny for about four hours this morning, according to Bungie officials who now say the issues are "resolving."

The official Bungie Help Twitter account, wrote that they were "actively investigating issues impacting players' ability to sign in to Destiny on PlayStation 4" about 6 a.m. ET. About four hours later, the account tweeted that the issues preventing PS4 players from signing in were "resolving." It's unclear how widespread the issue was.

The sign-in issues hit the PS4 on the same day that the 2.0 system update went live on the console. The update brings with it a slew of major new features including Share Play and YouTube integration.
