Marvel working on two-part 'Avengers: Infinity War' for 2018, 2019

Marvel Studios' slate of Avengers movies will culminate in a two-part series, Avengers: Infinity War, in 2018 and 2019, the company announced today during a special event in Los Angeles.

Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 is set to hit theaters May 4, 2018, while Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2 is scheduled to premiere May 3, 2019. Marvel announced the films after showing the Infinity Gauntlet on screen.

'Guardians of the Galaxy' continues to close Marvel's Gauntlet around 'Avengers 3'

The second main film in the Avengers franchise, Avengers: Age of Ultron, will launch May 1, 2015.
