The "Big Alpha" for four-versus-one cooperative monster hunting game Evolve has been postponed on PS4 because of technical issues, the developers said today.
Update: 2K Games announced on Sunday it has resolved the problems on PlayStation 4 and will extend the "Big Alpha" for Evolve — on all platforms — until Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 3 pm ET.
"We have some unfortunate news to share with folks planning to participate in the Big Alpha test on PlayStation 4 starting today," according to a post on the official site. "Following the recent PS4 2.00 firmware update, we are experiencing difficulties with the Evolve Big Alpha on PlayStation 4. As a result, the test on PlayStation 4 is postponed. PlayStation and 2K are working together on a resolution."
For now, if you happen to also own an Xbox One or PC, you can just play there using a provided code. If you're on PS4 only, though, you're going to have to be patient.
For those of you leaping to another platform, here's the process.
Step 1: Go to http://www.evolvegame.com/bigalpha
Step 2: Fill out the form completely including the registration code, referral code, and a valid email
Step 3: Check your email for an official invite with your product voucher code

This isn't the first known problem caused by the latest PS4 firmware update. Earlier this week, some complained of having troubling restarting their consoles.
