Until Dawn makes a game of saving and sacrificing unsuspecting teenagers

Until Dawn takes the typical unknowing-teens-in-trouble aesthetic of many horror flicks and gamifies the outcome, as shown in a recent clip shown during EGX in London last month.

The footage, from user GoodGamesHD on YouTube, developers walk viewers through ten minutes of its adolescent-terrorizing title. The game follows a group of eight teenagers — featuring actors Hayden Panettiere (Heroes, Nashville), Rami Malek (Night at the Museum, Need for Speed) and Brett Dalton (Agents of SHIELD) — on a trip to a remote forest cabin on the anniversary of their friend's death. If you've seen the film Cabin in the Woods or literally any Evil Dead or Friday the 13th movies, you already have a basic idea of how things shake out.

Until Dawn was originally in development for PlayStation 3 using the PlayStation Move motion controller. The title was announced at Gamescom in Aug. 2012, and after two years with little information on the game's progress, was reintroduced at Gamescom earlier this year as a PlayStation 4 title. The PS Move controls have been abandoned and the title will launch in 2015.
