Official Nintendo Magazine, the U.K.-based publication featuring news and interviews on everything Nintendo, is coming to an end following the release of its 114th issue on Oct. 14, publisher Future and Nintendo U.K. confirmed today.
As a result, the publication's official website will close on Nov. 11, with staff distributed to other projects.
Nintendo will continue to release news directly via Nintendo Direct, social media and public events, while the gaming giant's U.K. office plans to work closely with remaining Future publications.
"It was a joint decision," read a statement on the ONM website that has since been removed but remains available on the Nintendo Europe forums. "Nintendo has decided to direct efforts toward other communication channels to communicate with fans, and Future is focusing on a core of existing sites with the recently launched Kotaku UK providing a great platform for our wealth of Nintendo experts from ONM and the wider Future network. Combined they will continue to deliver the Nintendo expertise our readers have come to expect in exciting new ways."
Official Nintendo Magazine first arrived in the U.K. in 2002, with Future taking over publishing duties from British media company EMAP in 2006.
