It seems as though LittleBigPlanet 3 is turning into a sort of Blackadder reunion, as Hugh Laurie joins fellow actor and comedian Stephen Fry in the game's voice cast, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Fry — who has long served as LittleBigPlanet's benevolent, cheeky narrator — previously joined Laurie not only in historical comedy series Blackadder but the sketch show A Bit of Fry and Laurie, which ran from 1987 to 1995. While both actors boast long resumes of acting roles and voice-over work, Laurie is perhaps best known on this side of the Atlantic Ocean as the star of House M.D.
In LittleBigPlanet 3, Laurie will voice Newton, the "dastardly counterpart" to Fry's good-willed Narrator.
Rounding out the cast are a handful of other prominent actors, who will lend their vocal talents to the title's cast of Creator Curators and other NPCs. Actor Simon Greenall (Alan Partridge, Wimbledon), comedian Peter Serafinowicz (Shaun of the Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy) and Tara Strong (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Harley Quinn in various Batman games and cartoons) will join the fray, along with Nolan North (Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, everything you could possibly think of).
LittleBigPlanet 3 will launch on Nov. 18 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
