The Walking Dead is back on our TV screens this weekend, for its fifth season. Just in time, cable network AMC has announced that a sixth season is on the way.
"We could not be more excited for October 12th as we share new episodes of The Walking Dead with fans around the globe," said AMC president Charlie Collier. "In advance of Sunday's season five premiere, AMC proudly confirms a sixth season order of this extraordinary series."
Based on a successful comic-book series, and spawning a much-loved video game series, The Walking Dead is the story of a zombie apocalypse.
