The weird, free-to-play, zombie-filled Counter-Strike is out on Steam

Nexon's strange spin-off of Valve's Counter-Strike series, the free-to-play online multiplayer shooter Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies, is now available on Steam, publisher Nexon Europe announced today.

Based on Nexon's Counter-Strike Online — a game that was based on the original Counter-Strike and targeted at Asian gaming markets — the zombie-filled spin-off comes packed with modes, maps, weapons and an opposing force that wouldn't normally appear in one of Valve's own Counter-Strike titles. Players will be able to play as male and female terrorists and counter-terrorists, as well as the living dead.

Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is a free download for Windows PC. Watch the game's launch trailer above for a taste of what zombies bring to the classic Counter-Strike experience.
