Margot Robbie, best known for her role in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, is reportedly joining the cast of David Sayer's Suicide Squad as Harley Quinn, according to sources close to Collider.
The Australian actress is currently filming Tarzan where she will star as Jane, and has upcoming roles in the upcoming films Focus with Will Smith and 2015 sci-fi release Z for Zachariah. Robbie has reportedly beat out English model Cara Delevingne for the role of Harley in the new DC Comics film.
Warner Bros. announced its upcoming Suicide Squad release last month, alongside a slew of DC Comics super hero movies, including team-based films based on Justice League and individual movies for characters The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and Wonder Woman, stretching into 2020.
DC has 10 movies planned to hit theaters between 2016 and 2020, Time Warner announced during an investor meeting at the time, kicking off with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit theaters in 2016.
