Assassin's Creed Unity could have been a spectacular way for the franchise to step foot into the current generation of console hardware — it's big, pretty and has some interesting methods for bringing the series back to its assassination roots. But it drops the ball in more departments than one, most notably in terms of performance. The life of a revolutionary is hard enough as is without having to spar with plummeting frame rates, too.
