From Software's upcoming PlayStation 4 release Bloodborne will be delayed by a month, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan producer Masaaki Yamagiwa announced today on the official European PlayStation Blog.
While previously scheduled to launch in February 2015, Bloodborne will now be released in North America on March 24, 2015, in PAL regions on March 25, and in the U.K. and Ireland on March 27.
"We need a few more weeks to deliver you the best possible final experience," he said.
"We were really grateful for all the player data and feedback we received from those who took part in our recent limited alpha test, and this extra development time will allow us to better integrate these learnings into the game."
In the meantime, you can watch this 6-minute direct feed video of the game's demo from Gamescom. In it, you'll get a look at the city of Yarnham, from its streets to some select interiors, a peek at two-handed combat and an encounter with a big boss monster, the Cleric Beast. It's full of saws, axes, blunderbusses and scary monsters full of life-giving blood —plus it gives Souls series fans a look at some very interesting gameplay changes.
Bloodborne is the next game from Demon's Souls and Dark Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki and From Software.
