Blizzard turns this Chinese subway into the entrance to a dark portal

Blizzard has introduced a real world "Dark Portal" to one of Shanghai's busiest subway stations, based on the World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor expansion.

This weekend, pictures of a life-size model of the Dark Portal were made available online from Chinese gaming websites, including Sina Games.

The Portal itself includes a camera on one side and a screen on the other. When a passerby walks in behind, their image is shown on the screen against a portal-like backdrop. WoW characters will also show up on screen, against the backdrop of the station. You can check it out in action below.

This follows earlier marketing efforts for the new expansion this month, with the carving up of a New York City cab in Times Square.
