Telltale Games' take on Game of Thrones will feature some of the main cast members from the HBO television series, the developer announced today while unveiling the first trailer for the episodic game.

"Today we can announce that some cast members of the series will reprise their roles in the game," according to the press release. "While players will control five members of House Forrester in their story, the series will have them interacting with fan favorite characters throughout the season, including Tyrion Lannister performed by Peter Dinklage, Cersei Lannister performed by Lena Headey, Margaery Tyrell performed by Natalie Dormer, and Ramsay Snow performed by Iwan Rheon. Additional cast members will appear in later episodes."

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, which takes place towards the end of season three of the HBO show and right before the beginning of season five, will explore House Forrester, a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros. Bannermen to House Glover, they have always been loyal to the ruling great house of the North — the Starks.

"The Forresters are seated at Ironrath, an imposing stronghold surrounded by towering ironwood trees," according to the release. "Built over fifteen hundred years ago by Cedric Forrester and his triplet sons, Ironrath is a testament to the strength and endurance of Ironwood. The Forrester house words are 'Iron from Ice,' which echoes their belief that — like the ironwood itself — the adverse conditions and unforgiving landscape of the North only makes them stronger."

Players will work their way through the game from five different points of view, each either as a family member of House Forrester or a person in service to the house. Each of these characters, who will be located across Westeros, will be working to try and save House Forrester from destruction during the War of the Five Kings.

Telltale has made a name for itself through its narratively focused games, and the developer promises this one, with its five playable characters, will force players to be all the more careful with their decisions.

"The actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester," according to the release. "Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you're truly playing the Game of Thrones ... where you win, or you die."

While Telltale hasn't yet revealed all of the 13 Forrester characters to Polygon, they did send us information, and a picture, of one of them.

Mira had always been fond of Ironrath, but Lady Forrester — wanting her eldest daughter to learn the ways of a Southron court — arranged for Mira to serve as a handmaiden to Margaery Tyrell. To Mira’s great surprise, she enjoyed attending on Margaery at Highgarden, and followed her to King’s Landing with enthusiasm. Life in the capital has not been easy for Mira, as her straightforward Northern ways are often at odds with the subtleties of court life – but she also has more guile than she realizes.

Telltale promises additional details on the game and its first episode, "Iron From Ice," soon. The first of six episodes will be arriving for download soon on iOS, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Additional platforms will be announced later.

Update: We've rounded up all 12 of the other character reveals from around the web.
