Star Wars: The Force Awakens is due to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015, and takes place about 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Director J.J. Abrams has already completed principal photography. The movie will include a number of Star Wars mainstays like Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) and Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher).

Update: Abrams tweeted a picture saying that the trailer will be 88 seconds long and offer a "tiny peek at what we're working on."

Update 2: Both Cinemark and AMC promise that the trailer will be coming to some of their theaters too. We'll update this post once they announce locations.

Update 3: Written through to include new theaters and info.
