Star Wars comes to Minecraft on Xbox

The Venn diagram of Minecraft players and Star Wars fans includes literal millions of people, and they can now celebrate those two interests with the Star Wars Classic Skin Pack, publisher Microsoft Studios announced today.

Microsoft released the add-on today for $2.99, exclusively for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Minecraft. True to its name, the Star Wars Classic Skin Pack includes a total of 55 skins for characters from the Star Wars original trilogy.

In fact, the DLC pack features just about every original trilogy character you can think of, from the popular (seven for Luke Skywalker, three for Han Solo and seven for Princess Leia) to the obscure (IG-88, Lobot). One major omission is Jabba the Hutt, although his deputy, Bib Fortuna, is included. You can check out the full list below.

Microsoft added that it plans to release additional Star Wars DLC for Minecraft in the future. This skin pack's launch is well-timed — the first teaser trailer for the next Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, will debut this Friday in 30 U.S. theaters. The movie itself is set to premiere Dec. 18, 2015.
